Welcome!
I am looking forward to spending the year with your fabulous children. The fourth grade team of teachers has a lot of exciting, interesting, and fun units of study prepared for this year. Fourth graders are approaching a more responsible and challenging stage in their education as well as thriving to find their own identity. To help them through this journey, I look forward to a partnership between teacher, parent, and student.
Homework
You should generally anticipate about 20 minutes of homework in both reading and math Monday-Thursday based on lessons taught in class during that day/week. Students also need to read a book at their level for 20 minutes nightly. In addition to the consistent math and reading homework assignments, there may be additional science, social studies, and writing reinforcement assignments on occasion.
